Review: Sleek Storm palette & Ink Pot gel liner

Before I start with this post, I want to say I don’t know much about make-up. So I’m not going to write a full review. I mainly want to share some photos with you girls (and boys?). Personally I like to watch at pictures of make-up on the internet, to look at the colours and cute packaging.

What I’ve bought are the Sleek Storm palette and the Sleek Ink Pot in Dominatrix.

The Storm palette contains 12 shadows that are perfect for a neutral look. There are 9 shimmer and 3 mat shadows. As I haven’t made swatches it yet, I can’t write a review about it. But I did take some photos to share with you all! Also, if anyone want to see swatches, please ask.

I made a swatch of the Ink Pot gel liner. It’s my first (gel) eyeliner, so I can’t compare with other gel liners. I really like this eyeliner, though. I made a swatch and rubbed over it a few times. It didn’t move one bit!

Edit: I used this gel liner yesterday to a wedding. At the end of the evening the eyeliner did smudge a bit. Now, my eye did get teary at a certain moment (from laughing) and it was quite hot in the restaurant...

  1. That one palette alone totally has more color variety than my entire eyeshadow collection (which I've been growing in bits and pieces for two years)!

In terms of your question: I actually didn't go through the regular job-hunting process here since I'm doing a program through my school. I hear that teaching English is a difficult field for people of Chinese descent to go into since people are biased against them. In terms of other jobs, it would help a lot if you have family to stay with while you do your search (not sure about the visa process too, and it will be harder if you need one for work) and possibly, connections through family or family friends in an industry you want to go into.

It does sound like for those who are able to come to HK and stay there for a while rent-free for their job search, there are jobs out there, but it can take a lot of luck and persistence!

  2. LOL! I bought it after I read many reviews on this palette. There are so many colours I don't even know how to combine it =.=

Thanks for the head up about the situation there. I probably can stay at my aunt's place and I'm already a resident. That problem is already solved LOL. I don't think I'll be able to teach English, as I'm not a native speaker =[

  3. I've always wanted to try that brand but wasn't sure if it would be good. The pallete you chose is pretty though!

Anyways I just followed a link on soompi to get here, nice blog!
