We see things in them, love to take pictures of them, store your files in them, but what about living in one? Have you ever thought about living in a cloud? The architecture team at McBride Charles Ryans has absolutely thought about that when working on this renovation project. And the result is this amazing Cloud House.

I really like the simplicity of the identity, but what really attracted me were the illustrations of the food. They remind me of one-minute sketches we had to make in college. What I love about these sketches is that every stroke looks like it’s made impulsively, but at the same time you can see how much the designer thought about where he should place every stroke.

Remember those wooden building blocks you played with when you were a child? This is what the identity reminded me of when I first saw it. I don’t often see a logo with a whole spectrum of colours, and where it still looks clean. This one is one of the few ones, I think. I really love the idea of building a whole baby town… well kingdom, really.

I have neglected my little blog, since I moved to Hong Kong. Now that I have settled down a bit more, I will try to start blogging again. My goal is to keep a personal archive about design, graphic/interior/packaging, travels and daily life.
It’ll be a photo heavy blog, as I’m more of a visual person and I’m not very good with words…
So stay tuned!
